"It's been a while since I've actually recorded a new mix having changed my mixer & moving from Traktor to Serato. This is the first mix I've recorded on it so I'm exited to share this with you.
I've always had a huge love for reggae & it's related genres, with Crewe having a large reggae scene growing up. When deciding on a name, I felt Sound Clash was perfect. I've taken the two genres & mixed them together, through exploration of the original samples used, reggae remixes of classic hip hop & some a capella's over various other tracks. I've also linked some through phrasing used and hopefully there's a few 'easter eggs' for you along the way to keep you entertained.
Unfortunately I recorded a version this previously & my only copy became corrupted. After a meltdown & some serious use of profanity, I decided to re-record it. It's different from the original in parts, but I think the vibe of the mix is the same.
