The Stretch & Bobbito Show 89.9 WKCR January 16, 1997 (320kbs)
Takes about 40 minutes before Stretch cracks the mic for the first time of the night (40:53). Bob was running late, but Lord Sear and Reef were there to join in on the antics. Bob finally makes his appearance at 70:40 with Reggie Reg from the Crash Crew. While this is going on the room fills up with emcees so a freestyle session ensues at 78:49 with Reggie Reg, Artifacts, Mad Skillz, Lonnie B & Danja Mowf. After that's done they get back to the music and return with the Artifacts for round two (126:13). Not to be left out the SupaFriendz get busy again as well at 135:39. Stretch lets DJ Kaos of the Artifacts do some routines at 162:55 and then they recap at 167:11. Last mic break of the night starts at 206:12 and goes on for well over 30 minutes. Live phone calls begin at 213:20 and thats where the fun really begins.....thanks to DJ Eclipse for sharing these dope tapes from his archives....HISTORY!!

Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito - WKCR April 18, 1996
DJ Eclipse - "It was a ritual to have to listen to 89.9 every Thursday night from 1am-5am. The show started in '90 and continued with Stretch & Bob together until '98. This particular episode I spun on was such an incredible show. It was the beginning of the NYC indie scene so you hear music from groups like Non Phixion, Arsonists, Natural Elements, Jigmastas and Juggaknots to name a few. Then you had the X-Men (Roc Raida, Rob Swift & Mista Sinista) up there doing routines (10:45). It was also the last broadcast from KCR's infamous Ferris Booth Hall studios. Stretch called to check in (90:15) which turned into a quick snap session with Lord Sear. Callers weren't safe from Sear either on the show (168:00). Bob played a demo set (151:30) and my set (45:16) was interrupted (68:21) so that Big L, Murder Mase, Killer Cam, Bloodshed and Beef The Thief (of Children of the Corn and BBO Enterprises) could get on the mic and totally destroy it. I mean what more could you ask for in a radio show?"

Boogie & The Barber w/Bobbito & DJ Eclipse Hot 97 WQHT October 19, 1997 (320 kbs)
DJ Eclipse - "Here goes a full show of Boogie & The Barber minus commercials and us starting a little late. I filled in for Stretch and Bobbito got on the tables as well at the very end of the show (91:20). Right out the gate Bob jumps on the mic to let the people know we were running late.
On the next mic break (31:17) the guests were the Jungle Brothers who were promoting their "Raw Deluxe" album which had just dropped. Glad Bob mentioned that Roc Raida (R.I.P.) had produced the first single from the album. Then he goes on to mention the X-Men's new album The X-Terminators, hahahaha. We got it corrected (X-Ecutioners) and kept it moving, but not after a couple jokes. The JBs freestyle at 40:25 and then come back for the last mic break at 51:01.
Thanks to Nes from http://dirtywaters.blogspot.com/ for Bob's portion of the set which I was missing. And thanks to Jamo on the backup.
Also, make sure to catch Stretch & Bobbito on their new podcast which airs on NPR this summer."

Stretch & Bobbito - 89.9 WKCR May 4, 1995 (320 kbs)
Another bomb from DJ Eclipses's Mixcloud page..
"Bobbito was out of town on this one so Stretch let the music rock for almost an hour before getting on the mic (54:05). Mic Geronimo and some of his Wastelands crew were there and joined him on this mic break. At 56:45 Mic G. and crew get busy. After that Stretch continues on with music and hops on the mic for a few seconds (110:06) to mention that one of the tapedecks isn't working. Other then that he proceeds with new joints up until he breaks into an old school set (114:09). Another mic break after that set (175:46) and me, Riz, A.Vee and Ken from Japan join him for shenanigans. After a long segment of jokes Stretch continues on with some old school flavor right up until 243:00 where we all get back on the mic to end the show. Seems that the Jazz "Man" was late so they actually ran an extra 10 minutes overtime."

Stretch & Bobbito - 89.9 WKCR December 11 1997 w/ DJ Eclipse (320 kbs)
Latest tape rip from DJ Eclipse....
"Once you get past the first muddy demo track I assure you the rest is better quality. The first 51 minutes is DJ Cucumber Slice followed by 2 hours of me spinning and then the last 55 minutes once again is Cucumber Slice. And in between all that is some good ol' Bob & Sear antics. Cappadonna and Tru Master are the guests right when I begin (51:00) and then they start rhyming shortly after that (54:05). Records start spinning again at 62:36 and then next mic break at 168:27. After about 12 minutes of Bob and Sear rhyming and acting a fool, Cucumber Slice gets back on (180:38). Some final words from Sear at 230:30 and that's that. I had 3 hours of the show so thanks to Nes at http://dirtywaters.blogspot.com/ for providing me with the intro and outro to make it the full 4 hour show. And thanks to Jamo for being backup."

Stretch & Bobbito - 89.9 WKCR July 27 1995 (320kbs)
Massive props as always to DJ Eclipse!!!!
Here goes more than a full show of Stretch & Bob as they went about 20 minutes overtime. Seems like bad weather made the "Jazz Man" late. But that just makes for a better SNB show. DJ E-Kim sets off the first mic break (8:55) followed by Souls of Mischief (40:05) who do what they do best at 43:56. Redman displays his DJ skills (74:14) before him and Diezzle Don get on for an interview (79:22). And of course that's followed up by a freestyle session from the two (91:58) once the right beat is chosen. As if the show couldn't get any better you have Mr. Voodoo, L-Swift and Dante Pacino from Natural Elements up on the show (137:21) with another freestyle session (142:04). Some mic banter with Reef and friends (186:39), freestyle from Jersey's Tone The Butcher (192:53), live phone calls (199:27) and then last mic break of the night to sign off at 261:43

The Stretch & Bobbito Show w/ DJ Eclipse & Beni B 89.9 WKCR July 18, 1996 (320kbs)
Both Stretch & Bob were out DJing so Beni B held down the mic while I held down the wheels. Ben, who did radio out West, was in town from the Bay Area and had his man Fusion with him while I had DJ Three with me who we had recently hired at Fat Beats. Two weeks after this show is when Fat Beats moved from the basement location to the 6th Ave spot (Aug 1, 1996). I was running late this night coming from LI so Beni luckily had a bag of rare grooves with him to start the show off. I came on after that (23:50) and played the rest of the night. DJ Three bugged out with us on mic breaks. This show was also a week before Rock Steady Crew's 19th Anniversary and the first ITF DJ competition with the legendary battle between the Rock Steady Crew DJs (aka Invisible Skratch Piklz) and the X-Men (aka X-Ecutioners). A year later Beni B would launch his label ABB Records with Dilated Peoples and Defari. Thanks to Nes for supplying me with missing audio from this night to make it a full show.
