 I haven't done one of these in a long time - all the samples and breaks from some of my favourite Hip Hop tracks (some from a few years back and some more recent) in the tradition of my digging influences Kon & Amir, Muro, The Conmen, DJ Shame, Soulman and more. I haven't done a track list for this because all of the fun for me is finding these yourself and getting dusty getting them (or sent in the post). Just over an hour long - Enjoy!

Marc/Mr Thing

Samples, breaks and some remakes of some favourite sample uses from recent times and some stuff i've dug up or found since the last Source mix.

Done in the tradition of the classic sample mixes by Kon & Amir, Mr Supreme & Jake One, DJ Shame, Muro & others.

As before - no tracklist because part of the fun is working out who sampled what and how they put them together (at least it is for me).

Two years has somehow passed since the last edition of The Source - here's part 3 with an hour of original samples from some of my favourite hip hop tunes past and present. As usual no track list - much more fun to get out there and stuck in at your local spot to find the records, some of the info is out there already but definitely some under the radar ones too. Enjoy!

DJ DS - Latin You Know! (320kbs)

New mix from DJ DS........

As it’s summer here in the UK, I naturally start to listen to more Brazilian and Latin music alongside the normal diet of hip hop, etc.  I’ve always been drawn to this type of music and with my father being Portuguese, maybe it’s imprinted in my DNA.

I’ve decided to call it ‘Latin You Know’ for two reasons.  The first is letting you know all about the music’s roots and where the breaks come from.  The other is that you will hopefully hear tracks that you recognise but didn’t realise that you knew.

I’ve added a track list as usual to give the artists the credit and so that if you’ve not dug in the Brazilian and Latin crates before, then this may give you a nice starting point.  I warn you though, it’s a deep, deep rabbit hole but a hugely rewarding one!!
