DJ DS - Goes Back to School (3rd Year: 1988) (320kbs)



As once said by Big Daddy Kane, "its 88, time to set it straight" and "ain’t no half-steppin" as DJ DS goes ‘Back to School’!  “Word…… I’m ready”!

As previously mentioned, I was at high school from 1986 - 1991, therefore my 3rd year started in 1988.  What a year too…. This has always been my favorite year for Hip Hop. My biggest challenge was deciding what to leave out! This could have gone on for about a month and I still couldn’t have got all the classics in!

If you’ve heard any of my mixes you know what to expect, plenty of doubles, blends and all that good stuff.  I’ve also popped some sound bites from movies released during the same year too!

Also a huge thanks to everyone that recorded a drop for me, including one of my daughters, DJ Jimmy Green and DJ Reepz.  One of my favorite MCs, Percee P, yep, that’s right, the Rhyme Inspector Percee P from the Bronx also recorded one for me as well.  Thanks guys….     thanks for sharing, those "back to school" mixes are awesome! loved the concept when dj revolution did his "class of..." mixes, and dj ds' mixtapes are equally entertaining.
